Mina Deyan Mitich is a multidisciplinary artist whose work explores the relationship between intuition and chaos.
Born in Bulgaria to Serbian and Bulgarian parents, very early on in her childhood, she developed a deep love for comics, drawing, music, storytelling and nature. Being a timid child, her passions set in deeply and were a place of refuge and sanctuary.
After over a decade away from visual expression, she returned to painting with renewed clarity and instinct—approaching her craft as an act of integration and personal power. Her work comes as an answer to a gentle sentimentality yet its aim is an assertive affirmation of an inherent right to exist.
Drawing on a background of writing, music, and an ongoing fascination with psychology, she creates with the purpose of seeing clearly despite constant distractions, in ‘constant departure while always arriving’.
She currently lives and works in Burgas, Bulgaria.
